What is UK GDPR?

The UK GDPR is the United Kingdom’s version of the EU GDPR after Brexit. It was retained in the country as domestic legislation and renamed the UK GDPR. It is used in conjunction with the amended Data Protection Act 2018 to protect personal data processed by organizations inside and outside the country.

Much of its principles resemble those of the EU GDPR, with some minor changes. It applies to organizations operating within and outside the UK that process personal data of residents in the UK to offer them goods and services or monitor their behavior occurring in the country.
