What are flash cookies?

Flash cookies are a kind of cookie that is set when your browser requests an HTML5-compatible webpage from a website that uses Adobe Flash Player for video playback, interactive objects, animation, etc. When a user’s browser requests the website’s content using the HTML5 standard, the server responds with the necessary information and also sets a Flash cookie which enables it to recognize repeat visitors who return to the same page.

Flash cookies are not stored in the user’s browser file. They are stored in Adobe files which can be managed using Adobe Flash settings.
