How to set up Advanced Consent Mode in GCM?
CookieYes has the feature to configure both Basic and Advanced modes of Google Consent mode.
Ensure that you’ve implemented the Basic Consent Mode by enabling the Support GCM button mentioned in this documentation.
To set up Advanced Consent Mode in GCM, follow these steps:
- From the CookieYes Dashboard, go to the Advanced Settings tab.
- Enable Allow Google tags to fire before consent.
Enabling only the Support GCM button allows for basic implementation, firing only allowed tags based on user consent. Enabling Allow Google Tags to Fire Before Consent ensures Google tags fire even before the user consent to the banner. It uses cookie-less pings and only collects the information required for behavioural and conversion modelling to fill the gaps in your data.
However, it is important to note that even when the option Allow Google tags to fire before consent is enabled, Google Analytics (GA) may not be able to track real-time data.
