What is CCPA Do Not Sell requirement?

Under CCPA, businesses that sell consumers’ personal information or share it with other parties must provide clear notice to consumers that they do so. The Act also gives consumers the right to opt out of having their personal information sold. If the business has a website, it must include a link entitled “Do Not Sell My Personal Information” on the homepage. This link should be clear and conspicuous and lead to a page or settings allowing consumers to exercise their right to opt out. Consumers must be able to do it without having to create an account on the website.
