Prerequisites
Before initiating the across sites, ensure the following conditions and criteria are met:
- Access Permissions:
- The user must have Admin or Editor access to both the source and destination sites to perform the transfer.
- Supported Plans:
- To apply configurations from the source site, the destination site must have an active paid plan.
- Transfers are not supported if the source or destination site is on the legacy version of the CookieYes plugin (GDPR Cookie Consent) Free/Pro plan.
- If the source site uses a lower banner version of CookieYes, the transfer is not supported.
- Plan and Feature Restrictions:
- If the destination site is on a lower paid plan or has updated pricing and feature restrictions compared to the source site, the destination site will not inherit configurations associated with restricted features.
- Settings Included in the Configuration Transfer:
- The configuration copied to the destination site will include all settings from the Cookie Banner and Languages of the source site that are supported by the destination site’s plan.
- Language-Specific Settings:
- Existing languages on the destination site will be retained and new languages from the source site will be added.
- If a language exists on both the source and destination sites, the source site settings will overwrite the destination site settings for that language.
- The default language on the destination site will remain unchanged.
Steps to Copy Configuration
Step 1:
From the CookieYes Dashboard, navigate to the Profile icon in the top-right corner and click Organizations & Sites from the drop-down.

Step 2:
In the Organisations & Sites tab, find the relevant organisation and the site, click the three-dot menu, and select Copy configuration from the dropdown menu.

Step 3:
In the modal, choose the Destination organisation and Destination website from the dropdown; then click the Publish configuration button.

Step 4:
Complete the copy configuration process.
After successfully copying the configuration, a popup will appear, displaying a success message.

If the destination site’s banner is uninstalled, follow these steps to complete the installation:
- Click Manage Site in the popup. You will be redirected to the destination site’s dashboard.

- Click Get Installation Code.
- In the modal, click Copy Code to copy the banner installation code.
4. Paste the code right after the opening <head> tag in your site’s source code.
- Click the Verify button to verify the installation.

Conclusion
By following the steps outlined above, you can successfully transfer site configurations in CookieYes. This functionality provides a seamless way to manage and replicate cookie consent settings across different sites or organisations, saving time and ensuring consistency.
