To implement Google Consent Mode, you need to obtain user consent to allow the Google tag to write and read cookies.
**1. Obtain user consent**: To make this easy, use a Google-certified consent management platform (CMP).
- Choose a certified CMP and sign up for an account
- Select a banner template and customise it if required

> CookieYes is a Google-certified CMP for Consent Mode v2 and IAB TCF v2.2.
>

**2. Send user consent choices to Google**: To do this, you need to install the consent banner and enable Consent Mode.
- You can do this either via Google Tag Manager or using a custom code snippet.
